18 Wheels of Steel or sometimes abbreviated as 18 WoS is a series of trucking simulators published by ValuSoft and developed by SCS Software. There are several versions of 18 Wheels of Steel from 2002 to 2011 and 18 WoS Extreme Trucker 2 is the last version that released on Jan 6 2011. Extreme Trucker 2 is a further development of the 18 WoS Extreme Trucker which has two additional locations , Montana and Bangladesh and some new cargoes. Obviously it has better graphics and more optimized gameplay.

The game lets you to show your abilities and be a brave driver to take the cargoes. There are 5 different locations in the game that player can play in them. Yungas Road also known as Road of Death. Tuktoyaktuk Winter Road, the Australian Outback, Montana and Bangladesh. All five maps are extreme in their ways. Driving on the icy and snowy roads of northern Canada can be a tough challenge no matter what you deliver. The Australian long distance routes will let you drive road trains, up to 5 multiple trailers attached. The South American area is known for its narrow roads, a moment of lack of caution and you find yourself dropping off the edge of a cliff. The challenges game puts ahead of you is awesome and interesting and you really can enjoy them. But the bad part is this is not an open world game anymore. Unfortunately you can not drive freely and you only can deliver the desired cargoes. However, beside delivering your cargo you can take an advantage through the map and drive to different parts of the area. The areas are magnificent. Only additional thing I can see in the game is you can fuel, nothing more! All of the missions have also time limit. The gameplay is overall very good. But the variety of trucks and cargoes is just average. Any location has it's specific truck as well. That's helped to add a good variety to the gameplay.

Graphics are also made well. Roads, Trucks, AIs and everything is just good. The designing of each location is exclusive.

Sound part is nothing special. I can't see any specific part in it. Only the main menu has a soundtrack. otherwise you can not find any other musical track in any other parts. There is no radio in the game but you can add your favorite tracks from your music library and play them through the game.

Overall the game is quite good, But not the best. Only a good title that can entrain your for some days. I'd like if the developers have worked more on it, and at least gave the player more freedom in the game. A free ride mode could be amazing.
