BITDEFENDER WINDOWS 8 SECURITY
(32 AND 64 BIT)
The Windows 8 product offers the same array of protective features found in Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 and adds a number of features specific to Windows 8. It uses Microsoft's ELAM (Early Launch Anti-Malware) technology to start protection early in the boot process, before any malware can launch. A built-in scanner specifically analyzes your Windows 8 apps and warns if any have been compromised. And its "scan boost" technology speeds scanning using whitelisting and cloud scanning, among other techniques.

BITDEFENDER 2013 - INSTALLATION AND ACTIVATION GUIDELINES:
In order to ensure that your BitDefender 2013 security product is installed and activated correctly, please follow the instructions below:
Step 1 :
BitDefender 2013 - Comparison Chart:
Choose the BitDefender 2013 security product which suits the most your needs and requirements:
Now, download the appropriate offline standalone Bitdefender 2013 security product installer (English language):
Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013:
Bitdefender Internet Security 2013:
Bitdefender Total Security 2013:
• Save the appropriate BitDefender 2013 offline standalone installer to a location of your choice. It is recommend to save it in your desktop.
Step 2 :
Uninstall any security product (including BitDefender) which you may have installed in your PC. Almost all security products have their own uninstallers. Therefore uninstall them first and once said process has been finished, reboot your PC again in Windows Normal Mode.
ATTENTION: The
new standalone "BitDefender Uninstall Tool" (BD2013_Uninstall_Tool.exe)
which is compatible with any BitDefender 2013 security products and
their previous versions can be downloaded from:
If for any circumstance you would like to uninstall BitDefender 2013, neither use the previous standalone uninstall tool because it is not compatible with BitDefender 2013 nor invoke the uninstaller link which carries BitDefender 2013 through "All programs" or the "Control Panel" until further notice. Simply use the new standalone "BitDefender Uninstall Tool" (BD2013_Uninstall_Tool.exe) which is previously mentioned.
Step 3 :
VERY IMPORTANT:
A) If you had any BitDefender 2012 or 2013 version installed in your PC and you had used any Liqensoft Activator, after you have uninstalled your BitDefender and the subsequent restart in Windows Normal Mode mentioned in Step 2, you must immediately run the Activator by Liqensoft 2.0 (in Windows Normal mode) before the new installation of a BitDefender 2013 security product . This process only serves to remove traces of previous installation(s) of BitDefender.
To this end, download The Activator by Liqensoft 2.0BETA5 (CRC32 ae88958f // MD5 643f16689bfe3b7217b2387a0fa0c7ab) from any of the links below and save it in your desktop:
IT
IS WORTH MENTIONING THAT THE ACTIVATOR BY LIQENSOFT 2.0BETA5 IS SAFE
AND CLEAN IF IT IS DOWNLOADED FROM THE LINKS FURNISHED ABOVE.
Some AVs may detect the Activator by Liqensoft 2.0BETA5 as a trojan / virus / malware but such possible circumstance is called "FALSE POSITIVE".
For an additional information regarding this issue, please refer to this link:
B) Extract the file "liQeNSoft_Bitdefender_Activator_2.0BETA5.exe" from the downloaded compressed file to your desktop and double click it (run it). A small window will pop up => Choose English language and click "OK". After a short while, another window will appear advising you that "We removed the vestiges of the previous version. You can install the new version" => click the "OK" button.
A pic is better than hundreds of words:
Step 4 :
• Now and without any PC rebooting, double click the BitDefender 2013 offline standalone installer that you have saved in the desktop as per Step 1.
• The installation wizard will start and guide you through the process. Do not download latest BitDefender 2013 files when you asked to during installation in order to expedite the said process.
• Once you are informed that BitDefender 2013 has been successfully installed click the "Get started" button which appears in the respective window. A new window named "Register Your Product" will appear where you should tick the radio button "I want to evaluate the product" and click the "Next" button. Make BitDefender configurations which may suit your needs the most through the various windows that pop up and when the "Login to MyBitdefender" window appears, log into your MyBitdefender account or create a new one, as it may be your case. Enter your registration data (email & password) and then click "Login to MyBitdefender" button. Now check at the bottom of your BitDefender 2013 home view that you have 30 days free use left.
• Now update your BitDefender 2013. After update is finished, reboot your PC in Windows Normal Mode and turn "Auto Update" off permanently by clicking the homonymous switch which appears in the "UPDATE" Module.
Don't forget that BitDefender accounts must be previously activated
before running the Activator by Liqensoft as described in Step 5 below,
by clicking the link included in the email that you should received from
BitDefender in your declared email account. Therefore a real email
account should be used.
IMPORTANT:
Since there have been cases that when you reboot your PC in Windows Safe Mode with Networking for running the Liqensoft Activator, the "Activate" button in the liQeNSoft Activator appears grayed out and says that it cannot find your BitDefender account, it is recommended to follow this workaround before restarting your PC In Windows Safe Mode with Networking as per Step 5:
At
BitDefender 2013 GUI => In the right margin of the BitDefender
window title bar, click "MyBitDefender" => click "Account Settings"
=> in the new window which pops up, tick "Automatically log me in
BitDefender" and then click the "Go to My BitDefender" button => Once
you have logged in it, please check to have your PC and the installed
BitDefender 2013 product listed down below (registration status should
be either valid: -xx number of days left- or expired) and then close
"MyBitDefender" window (do not logout) and check again if the change
made in the "Account Setting" in your BitDefender 2013 product has been
really accepted.
Step 5 :
Reboot your PC in Windows Safe Mode or in Windows Safe Mode with Networking (recommended). If BitDefender 2013 has deleted the Activator by Liqensoft 2.0, extract it again in your desktop from its compressed file that should be in the desktop. Run the Activator by double-clicking it. A small window will pop up => Choose English language => OK. The Activator by Liqensoft 2.0 GUI will appear => Click the "Settings" button and select for how many years you want to have your BitDefender 2013 registered. There are two small buttons at the left of the number of years to increase or decrease them (I selected 10 years to avoid running the activator again) and click the "Save" button. Now you must click the "Activate!" button and a notification window will tell you that BitDefender 2012 or 2013 was successfully activated and you are invited to restart your computer in Normal Mode. Close the Activator by Liqensoft 2.0 and restart your PC in Windows Normal Mode and do not update BitDefender 2013.
This is a pic of the Activator by Liqensoft 2.0 in Windows Safe Mode with Networking after my BitDefender Total Security 2013 has been activated:
Step 6 :
Now that you are in Windows Normal Mode, open BitDefender 2013 GUI in home view and check that at the bottom thereof the registration period you have chosen in Step 5 is duly indicated and do not update BitDefender 2013. Check that the "Auto Update" switch which appears in the "UPDATE" Module still remains permanently turned off. Don't forget to conduct a manual update at least once a week when most probably you should run again the Activator by Liqensoft in Windows Safe Mode in case your BitDefender 2013 had reverted to trial status.
This is a pic of my BitDefender Total Security 2013 activated for 10 years after strictly following the above instructions:
Enjoy your full and registered BitDefender 2013.

TO ALL BITDEFENDER 2013 USERS - VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Please
be informed that the effects of the the Liqensoft Activator 2.0BETA5
are randomly neutralized when BitDefender 2013 is updated either
automatically or manually.
Those
users who had installed BitDefender 2013 and had "registered" it
running the Liqensoft Activator are now facing two possible situations
after they have updated BitDefender 2013 to said build because of such
neutralization:
11) BitDefender 2013 has expired.
22) BitDefender 2013 has returned to a trial condition but it is still showing some registration days left.
Those
BitDefender 2013 users who have the status depicted under 11) above:
i.e.: BitDefender 2013 has expired, should proceed as follows:
Download (preferably to the Desktop) the Liqensoft Activator 2.0BETA5 from any of the links shown on Page 1 of this thread and run it again in Windows Safe Mode without a full uninstallation of your BitDefender 2013 and click the "Activate!" button as it is indicated in Step 5 of the "BITDEFENDER 2013 - INSTALLATION AND ACTIVATION GUIDELINES" shown on page 1 of this thread and reboot in Windows Normal Mode and check if you have got the registration period and status which you had chosen when you run the activator.
If the "Activate!" button is not enabled or after clicking it you are informed that the maneuver could not be successfully accomplished or after successfully running the activator, you reboot your PC in Windows Normal Mode and when you try to update your BitDefender 2013, same returns again to an expired status as in an endless loop, proceed as follows:
A)
Disable, if feasible, the Liqensoft Activator 2.0BETA5 by running it in
Windows Safe Mode and clicking the "Disable" button and then restart
the PC in Windows Normal Mode.
B) Uninstall BitDefender 2013 using the "remove" link which is shipped with the program.
C) Delete manually any and all folders (hidden or not) from your HDD bearing the name of "BitDefender" as well as any and all files which they may contain. If you are not allowed to do so, simply reboot again your PC in Windows Normal Mode.
D) Run "regedit" and delete from your Windows Registry, the "Setid" key and its "Internal" sub key which are located at:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\SetId
It is possible that you may need special permission to delete the key and/or may be required conduct said maneuver in Windows Safe Mode.
E) Download again the chosen BitDefender 2013 security product from the appropriate direct link which appears on Page 1 of this thread.
F) Install BitDefender 2013 in trial mode, enter the required registration data for your "MyBitDefender" account (your previous email and password will do) and configure your BitDefender.
G) Update your BitDefender 2013 and reboot your PC whenever it is so required by BitDefender and until is running smoothly.
H) Download (preferably to the Desktop) the Liqensoft Activator 2.0BETA5 from any of the links shown on Page 1 of this thread (NOTE: you can skip this step if you have already downloaded as previously indicated and you didn't deleted).
I) Reboot your PC in Windows Safe Mode and run the Liqensoft Activator as per Step 5 of the "BITDEFENDER 2013 - INSTALLATION AND ACTIVATION GUIDELINES" shown on page 1 of this thread and reboot in Windows Normal Mode and check if you have got the registration period and status which you had chosen when you run the activator and do not update BitDefender 2013.
J) Turn "Auto Update" off permanently by clicking the homonymous switch which appears in the "UPDATE" module and conduct a manual update at least once a week by clicking the "Update Now" button in said module. This is to reduce the possibilities that your BitDefender 2013 may revert to trial status. Should that be the case then you have to run again the Liqensoft Activator in Windows Safe Mode.
Those
BitDefender 2013 users who have the status depicted under 22) above:
i.e.: BitDefender 2013 has returned to a trial status but it is still
showing some registration days left, should only follow the indications
shown in items H) through J) above.

BITDEFENDER 2012
ANTIVIRUS PLUS - INTERNET SECURITY & TOTAL SECURITY
(32 AND 64 BIT)
You always download the latest releases of BitDefender 2012 products
because their links are those from BitDefender's website.
BITDEFENDER 2012 - REGISTRATION WITHOUT A LICENSE KEY:
There are two possible registration procedures without a genuine license key:
(I) THE ACTIVATOR BY LIQENSOFT 2.0BETA5: The activator registers all BitDefender 2012 products (Antivirus Plus, Internet Security or Total Security) until the date you choose and further enables online updates and/or upgrades. Scroll down this page to find under this same caption, the download links for the activator and the relevant instructions.
(II) THE PATCH BY BOX 3.1: The patch registers all BitDefender 2012 products (Antivirus Plus, Internet Security or Total Security) until year 2045 but it does not enable online updates which have to be carried out by means of the weekly offline updates. Scroll down this page to find under this same caption, the download links for the patch and the relevant instructions.
Therefore, it is obvious that the ACTIVATOR BY LIQENSOFT 2.0BETA5 is the recommended alternative to be chosen while THE PATCH BY BOX 3.1 is just maintained for record purposes.

Members who after testing any BitDefender security product, would like to have BitDefender Antivirus Plus 2012, BitDefender Internet Security 2012 or BitDefender Total Security 2012 registered with a working License Key instead of using the Activator by Liqensoft 2.0BETA5 or the Patch by BOX 3.1, they have to request it through this post clearly indicating for which of said products it is required. I will revert to each member through this thread advising him the outcome of the request. In all cases, the License Key will be sent via PM. Members are entitled to request only one license key (BDAVP, BDIS or BDTS) subject to the conditions stated in the following paragraph.
This is not a giveaway post. Therefore, not all members are qualified to receive a License Key. Said circumstance will depend on many factors, such as but not limited to member's seniority (minimum 90 days), member's contribution to the forum (minimum 30 posts), etc., either combined or not. Furthermore, since License Keys are really scarce, they will not be spared for testing purposes.
Available keys are expiring as follows:
Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2012: September 19, 2012
BitDefender Internet Security 2012: November 30, 2012
BitDefender Total Security 2012: 90 days trial keys only (without guarantee)

BitDefender 2012 - Brief Instructions: Installation and Activation (LIQENSOFT ACTIVATOR):
(**Important**: These instructions are not applicable when you install BitDefender 2012 with a genuine license key)
Check
this first if you intend to register BitDefender 2012 using the
Activator by Liqensoft 2.0BETA5 because the Activator shall need to gain
access to the Internet to do its work:
Restart your PC in Windows Safe Mode with Networking and check if you can connect to the Internet. To this end, open your web browser (IE, FF, GC, etc.) and if you can surf the web normally then you will be able to run the Activator by Liqensoft 2.0BETA5.
Otherwise, please contact me through this thread.
To start your PC in Windows Safe Mode with Networking you should proceed as follows:
=>
When the BIOS post is running just when you turn on the PC, start
taping the F8 key repeatedly (depending on the motherboard you may need
to tap other "Function key") and in the black screen which appears
select "Windows Safe Mode with Networking" using the appropriate arrow
key and then press "Enter".
If you cannot succeed in starting the PC in such way, then proceed as follows:
=> Being in Windows Normal Mode, click the Start orb => "All Programs" => "Accessories" => "Run" => type "msconfig" and click "OK" => The "System Configuration" window will open (provided that you have administrator's privileges) and click the "Boot" tab => In the "Boot Options" area, tick "Safe boot" => then "Minimal" will appear selected by default but change it by ticking the "Network" radio button), then click "OK" and restart the PC.
After carrying out the relevant testing in said mode: i.e.: to check if you have Internet connectivity and you can surf the web normally, you have to run again "msconfig" and click the "Boot" tab => In the "Boot Options" area, untick "Safe boot", then click "OK" to revert to the original booting configuration: Windows Normal Mode.
BitDefender 2012 Installation & Activator by Liqensoft 2.0BETA5:
1) Download the chosen BitDefender 2012 product (Antivirus Plus, Internet Security or Total Security) which is suitable for your OS (32 or 64bit) from the appropriate direct links shown above.
2) If you had any BitDefender 2012 or any other version of BitDefender previously installed then uninstall it first. If they had been patched by the patch by BX 3.1 or any Liqensoft Activator had been run, don't forget to also uninstall the patch by BOX 3.1 in Windows Safe Mode or to run the new Liqensoft Activator 2.0BETA5 in Windows Normal Mode before installing BitDefender 2012.
3) Now follow the relevant instructions as from Step 2 which appears under the caption "INSTALLATION AND ACTIVATION GUIDELINES" for BITDEFENDER 2013 hereinabove.
NOTE 1: If any of the different windows which will appear while running the Activator by Liqensoft 2.0BETA5 are not well shown in your monitor, it is recommended to adjust the screen resolution to 1024 x 768 (Right click on an empty space in your desktop => Screen Resolution => Set it to 1024 x 768 => OK)
NOTE 2: If for any reason whatsoever, you want or need to revert your BitDefender 2012 to trial mode, then reboot your PC in Windows Safe Mode with Networking, run the Liqensoft Activator 2.0BETA5 but in this case click the "Disable" button, wait for a while until a message advises you that the process has been finished and then restart the PC in Windows Normal Mode.
By Polylak
For members' peace of mind and assurance that the Activator by Liqensoft is working flawlessly, I am attaching hereunder a snapshot taken from my BitDefender Total Security 2012 which was activated by the Activator by Liqensoft:
The above pic is clearly showing:
1)
A BDTS 2012 registration period of about 1100 days. I have chosen to
activate my BDTS 2012 for three years. You can set the validity period
you may wish.
2) BDTS 2012 is updating online.
(II) THE PATCH BY BOX 3.1:
The Patch by BOX 3.1 (435 KB only) can be downloaded from any of the following working links:
Alternatively to the above links for the Patch by BOX 3.1, I had to make use of steganography to conceal the "Patch by BOX 3.1" within an image to have a permanent source wherefrom the patch can be freely and quickly downloaded, since many Filehosting providers have lately introduced new requirements (user name and password) to have access to and download files or they are frequently deleting them.
Download the "Patch by BOX 3.1" by simply saving the BitDefender icon image shown immediately above ("19446179012041367443.jpg"). To do so right click it => "Save picture as..." browse and save it in your "Desktop" or anywhere else. Then navigate to the folder or place where you saved the image and right click it => click "Open with ►" click "WinRAR archiver" from the list and after WinRAR opens the file, extract the patch ("Box_BD2011.exe") to the "Desktop" or anywhere else.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Though the Patch by BOX 3.1 makes reference to BitDefender 2011, the Patch by BOX 3.1 is fully compatible with and successfully "registers" all BitDefender 2012 Security products although it doesn't enable online updates. However the patch by BOX 3.1 can be used in combination with the "weekly offline updates" which is tackled under the caption: "BitDefender 2012 - Brief Instructions: Installation, Patching (PATCH by BOX) and Offline Updating" herebelow.
For safety sake, the original and untouched Patch by BOX 3.1 ("Box_BD2011.exe") has the following CRC32 file hash: 21B76E36 and corresponds to this pic:
IT IS WORTH MENTIONING THAT THE PATCH BY BOX 3.1 IS SAFE AND CLEAN.
Some AVs may detect the Patch by BOX 3.1 as a trojan/virus/malware but such possible circumstance is called "FALSE POSITIVE".
For an additional information regarding this issue, please refer to this link:
BitDefender 2012 - Brief Instructions: Installation, Patching (PATCH by BOX) and Offline Updating:
(**Important**: These instructions are not applicable when you install BitDefender 2012 with a genuine license key)
1)
Uninstall from the PC any Antivirus or Security Suite or any previous
BitDefender version and restart the PC. If you had BitDefender 2011 or
2012 "registered" with the patch by BOX 3.1, don't forget to uninstall
the patch first.
2) Download the chosen BitDefender 2012 security product installer only from the appropriate BitDefender direct links furnished above.
3) Since some problems with the installation process of BitDefender 2012 have been experienced, please check that no devices are connected to the USB ports of the PC (mainly pendrives or external USB HDDs) and do not run any application, program or game while installing BitDefender.
4) To expedite the installation process, it is recommended to disconnect the PC from Internet and begin installation by executing the downloaded installer with administration privileges.
5) During installation process, choose "I want to evaluate this product" and enter a fake e-mail (always observe e-mail format standard).
6) Restart the PC if you are asked to do so (normally this occurs when malware is found while the PC is scanned by BitDefender during installation).
7) Renable Internet connection and update BitDefender.
8) Download the Patch by BOX 3.1 ("Box_BD2011_3.1.rar") from any of the above furnished links or from the furnished image to the Desktop. However, if BitDefender 2012 doesn' t allow you to download the Patch by BOX 3.1 or deletes the executable when you try to extract it from the compressed file you have downloaded, proceed as follows:
Disable
BitDefender 2012 Real-Time protection: Click "Settings" and then click
the following tabs => Antivirus => OnAccess scanning (switch it
"OFF") and select your required time from the popup window, and and also
switch "Active Virus Control" to "OFF", if it ON, and then download the
Patch by BOX 3.1.
9) Restart the PC in Windows Safe Mode (when the BIOS post ends, start taping the F8 key repeatedly). If you cannot succeed to start the PC in Safe Mode by taping the F8 key, then proceed as follows:
Click
the Start orb => "All Programs" => "Accessories" => "Run"
=> type "msconfig" and click "OK" => The "System Configuration"
window will open (provided that you have administrator's privileges) and
click the "Boot" tab => In the "Boot Options" area, tick "Safe boot"
("Minimal" will appear selected by default), then click "OK" and
restart the PC (NB: After patching BitDefender when you restart the PC,
msconfig startup settings will revert automatically to their original
configuration: Windows Normal Mode).
10) Once in Safe Mode, extract to the Desktop the file "Box_BD2011.exe" from the downloaded compressed file which contains the patch by BOX 3.1.
11) Right click "Box_BD2011.exe" and run it with Administrator's privileges and click the "Year 2045" button. Then wait until you are advised that the patching process has finished successfully.
12) Now restart the PC in Windows Normal Mode and your BitDefender will be registered for more than 12000 days.
However, it is worth pointing out that after the patch by BOX 3.1 has been applied, you will not be able to update BitDefender online any more. Therefore do not care if BitDefender tells you that "to benefit from signature updates after 30 days since the installation, you must configure a Btdefender account!". This is due to the fact that by end October 2011, BitDefender developers have partially neutralised the effects of the patch by BOX 3.1 on any BitDefender 2012 security product as from Build 15.0.33.1409.
13) BitDefender issues weekly offline updates every Friday, which includes all the virus definitions and scan engines updates that are available up to the release date (every Friday). Weekly offline updates are cumulative, that is to say, that each of them include all previous weekly updates up to the date when they have been released. That's why the size of said updates is abt 130MB. Therefore, the first Friday after BitDefender installation, download the appropriate weekly update from:
a) For 32bit operating systems:
b) For 64bit operating systems:
and save it locally on your hard disk.
Offline updates for older BitDefender releases can be found at:
14) Before installing the downloaded weekly update proceed as follows:
A)
Check the hash file (CRC32 or MD5) of the downloaded weekly update and
compare it with the one of the previous week. Needless to say that said
comparison will be done on the ocassion of the second and subsequent
weekly updates. They should be different. Otherwise do not install it
because it is the same update already applied. Then, try to download it
again within a couple of hours until the hash file of the weekly update
be different from the one of the previous week. To that end, I recommend
to use the tiny freeware tool "HashMyFiles" which can be downloadled
from:
B) Take note of your BitDefender Virus signature number and its Engine Version number. To do this:
Right click the BD icon in the system tray => click "About" and you will get them in the small window that pops-up.
15) Double-click the downloaded "weekly.exe" file to start the setup wizard. Click Next to begin the installation process. Check I accept the terms in the License Agreement and click Next. Click Install to begin installing. Click Finish to close the installation wizard.
16) To determine if the update process as per Step 15 was successfully achieved , check again BitDefender Virus signature number and its Engine Version number to determine if they have been changed to newer/higher versions.
17) Steps 13 to 16, both inclusive, have to be repeated on each Friday.
18) BitDefender version/build shall always remain the same (right click the BD icon in the system tray => click "About" and you will get them in the small window that pops-up). You can only upgrade BitDefender 2012 at any time by uninstalling your current product and reinstalling a new BitDefender 2012 version/build which you can always download from the appropriate links which are shown on this Page 1. Don't forget to uninstall the Patch by BOX 3.1 as well before reinstalling BitDefender 2012. It goes without saying that for reinstalling BitDefender 2012 you have to follow again all the above described steps.

Code: Select all
http://www.bitdefender.com/files/KnowledgeBase/file/BD2013_Uninstall_Tool.exe
If for any circumstance you would like to uninstall BitDefender 2013, neither use the previous standalone uninstall tool because it is not compatible with BitDefender 2013 nor invoke the uninstaller link which carries BitDefender 2013 through "All programs" or the "Control Panel" until further notice. Simply use the new standalone "BitDefender Uninstall Tool" (BD2013_Uninstall_Tool.exe) which is previously mentioned.
Step 3 :
A) If you had any BitDefender 2012 or 2013 version installed in your PC and you had used any Liqensoft Activator, after you have uninstalled your BitDefender and the subsequent restart in Windows Normal Mode mentioned in Step 2, you must immediately run the Activator by Liqensoft 2.0 (in Windows Normal mode) before the new installation of a BitDefender 2013 security product . This process only serves to remove traces of previous installation(s) of BitDefender.
To this end, download The Activator by Liqensoft 2.0BETA5 (CRC32 ae88958f // MD5 643f16689bfe3b7217b2387a0fa0c7ab) from any of the links below and save it in your desktop:

or
http://rghost.net/40281744
or
https://rapidshare.com/files/592927351/liQeNSoft_BD_Activator_2.0BETA5.rar
Some AVs may detect the Activator by Liqensoft 2.0BETA5 as a trojan / virus / malware but such possible circumstance is called "FALSE POSITIVE".
For an additional information regarding this issue, please refer to this link:
Code: Select all
http://www.warez-bb.org/viewtopic.php?p=41742819#41742819
Quote:
At
BitDefender 2013 GUI => In the right margin of the BitDefender
window title bar, click "MyBitDefender" => click "Account Settings"
=> in the new window which pops up, tick "Automatically log me in
BitDefender" and then click the "Go to My BitDefender" button => Once
you have logged in it, please check to have your PC and the installed
BitDefender 2013 product listed down below (registration status should
be either valid: -xx number of days left- or expired) and then close
"MyBitDefender" window (do not logout) and check again if the change
made in the "Account Setting" in your BitDefender 2013 product has been
really accepted.Step 5 :

Quote: Select all
Quote:
11) BitDefender 2013 has expired.
22) BitDefender 2013 has returned to a trial condition but it is still showing some registration days left.
Quote:
A)
Disable, if feasible, the Liqensoft Activator 2.0BETA5 by running it in
Windows Safe Mode and clicking the "Disable" button and then restart
the PC in Windows Normal Mode.
Quote:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\SetIdIt is possible that you may need special permission to delete the key and/or may be required conduct said maneuver in Windows Safe Mode.

For members' peace of mind and assurance that the Activator by Liqensoft is working flawlessly, I am attaching hereunder a snapshot taken from my BitDefender Total Security 2012 which was activated by the Activator by Liqensoft:

Quote:
Quote:
Click
the Start orb => "All Programs" => "Accessories" => "Run"
=> type "msconfig" and click "OK" => The "System Configuration"
window will open (provided that you have administrator's privileges) and
click the "Boot" tab => In the "Boot Options" area, tick "Safe boot"
("Minimal" will appear selected by default), then click "OK" and
restart the PC (NB: After patching BitDefender when you restart the PC,
msconfig startup settings will revert automatically to their original
configuration: Windows Normal Mode).10) Once in Safe Mode, extract to the Desktop the file "Box_BD2011.exe" from the downloaded compressed file which contains the patch by BOX 3.1.
Quote:
a) For 32bit operating systems:
Code:
http://download.bitdefender.com/updates/bitdefender_2012/x86/weekly.exe
b) For 64bit operating systems:
Code:
http://download.bitdefender.com/updates/bitdefender_2012/x64/weekly.exe
and save it locally on your hard disk.
Offline updates for older BitDefender releases can be found at:
Code: Select all
http://www.bitdefender.com/site/view/Desktop-Products-Updates.html
14) Before installing the downloaded weekly update proceed as follows:
Quote:
A)
Check the hash file (CRC32 or MD5) of the downloaded weekly update and
compare it with the one of the previous week.
To that end, I recommend
to use the tiny freeware tool "HashMyFiles" which can be downloadled
from:
Code:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/hash_my_files.html
B) Take note of your BitDefender Virus signature number and its Engine Version number. To do this:
Quote:
Right click the BD icon in the system tray => click "About" and you will get them in the small window that pops-up.15) Double-click the downloaded "weekly.exe" file to start the setup wizard.
